  1. Usage:
  2. r.out.bin [-i] input=name output=name [null=value]
  3. Flags:
  4. -i Output integer category values, not cell values
  5. Parameters:
  6. input Name of an existing raster map
  7. output Name of an output binary map (use out=- for stdout)
  8. null Value to write out for null
  9. default: 0
  10. This program is derived from r.out.ascii with a few modifications.
  11. Author: Bob Covill <bcovill@tekmap.ns.ca>
  12. If exported data is moved between platforms byte swapping
  13. may be required.
  14. The exported data can be converted to netCDF GMT format with
  15. xyz2grd .... -ZTLf -F
  16. TODO:
  17. - Add optional fixed size header (1024) with region specs.
  18. - Add byte swapping export routine.
  19. --------------------
  20. The source for r.out.bin which writes a binary array to
  21. standard output. The source is taken from r.out.ascii with a few minor
  22. changes. Depending on the data type the program will output a integer,
  23. float, or double array, unless "-i" is specified, then it will be forced
  24. to integer. The region parameters are printed to stderr. This file is
  25. compatible with the generic mapping tools (GMT) program xyz2grd if the
  26. user wants to convert to netCDF.
