1.
DESCRIPTION

2. The r.out.bin program exports a GRASS raster map to a binary array
3. file. Optionally, output can be sent to standard output (stdout) for direct
4. input (pipe) into other applications. Data is exported according to the
5. original GRASS raster type (e.g. float). If the "-i" flag is specified, an
6. integer array is output. The region parameters are printed to stderr.
7.
NOTES

8. With the -h flag, data can be directly used by
9. GMT as Grid Format 1 (float) or
10. 2 (short). For example:
11.

12. r.out.bin -h input=grass.raster output=new.grd
13. grdinfo new.grd=1 (if float)
14.

15.
Exported data can be piped directly into the GMT program xyz2grd.
16.

17. r.out.bin input=grass.raster output=- | xyz2grd -R.... -ZTLf -
18.

19. The example uses the GMT program xyz2grd with the -ZTLf flag indicating that
20. a float array was output.
