  250. \section{Future plans and motivation}
  251. I watched a video about Google Driverless Car in June 2013 and was
  252. totally amazed. I've started two online courses on Udacity to learn
  253. more about this topic. Currently, I try to find a good way to
  254. compute the minimum distance of a point to a cubic spline which
  255. is necessary to apply the PID algorithm for steering control.\\
  256. I'm currently employed as a research assistant at Institute for Anthropomatics (KIT).
  257. My task is to implement some changes that were proposed in a thesis
  258. to the KIT lecture translation system. The work helps me to understand
  259. how speech recognition works.
  260. I will definitely also make a masters degree in computer science.
  261. A topic about which I would like to learn more
  262. are self driving cars. But I think there are no courses in Karlsruhe
  263. about this.\\
  264. I also would like to spend about half a year abroad, preferably
  265. in an English speaking country which is not in Europe.
